Rocheport winery wedding at Les Bourgeois on Katy Trail in MO

Lindsay and Michael’s Rocheport winery wedding was held at Les Bourgeois. We were so thankful to have beautiful weather for this summer soiree in mid-Missouri! Both Lindsay and Michael are avid bicyclists. We loved their idea to have a bicycle themed wedding. It seemed so fitting that the Katy Trail ran directly under the bistro bluff top where Lindsay and Michael said their vows! When we first met with Lindsay and Michael, they shared their love of nature immediately. Most of our couples can tell us that they like photos with lots of natural light, but we loved how specific Lindsay and Michael were. They wanted their wedding photos to feel like landscape photography; images where bride and groom were smaller in the frame, surrounded by nature. They also loved compositions where the couple was blurry in the background, with natural elements in focus in the foreground. We were instantly excited about collaborating with these two and creating photos that blended their love of nature with story of their wedding day!

While walking along the Katy Trail, we found a beautiful spot to photograph this happy couple. With overarching trees, the green hues of summer made for the perfect backdrop for photos. We even found a wildflower garden to bring in pops of colorful petals in their portraits. While taking pictures, we learned that Lindsay and Michael have not only ridden the Katy several times, but they have even bicycled across the state of Missouri! So inspiring!

After their outdoor ceremony on the bluff top, guests were invited in for dinner and dancing. Complete Weddings + Events DJ’d the event, and kept the dance floor going all night!
