After dating for eight years, Brittiany and Chris made it official at their Jefferson City Country Club wedding. We had so much fun spending the day with this couple! Chris could be a stand up comedian, and Brittiany has the most contagious smile, so they made our job easy. After their ceremony at the St. Francis Xavier church, we headed back to the country club for wedding party pictures. Weather is always a concern for couples who want part of their day to be outdoors. When the morning storms cleared and the sun came out before their ceremony, we thought we were in the clear. Then the wind came. This was definitely the most windy wedding we have ever photographed! Our love of natural light is strong though, and we ended up making some beautiful portraits with the rolling green hills!
Thanks to Brittiany and Chris for including us in their big day, and for all of the laughs. We are so happy for you both!
More about this October mid-Missouri wedding…
Brittiany and Chris share our love of the outdoors, but in Missouri, you never know what fall weather will bring! They decided to have an indoor ceremony with a reception at the Jeff City Country Club, but were more than happy to spend time exploring the outdoor spaces at the country club by way of golf carts! We were surprised to find a beautiful tall grass field in a lower spot of the golf course with light streaming through behind them. It looked like something out of Italy!
Brittiany’s advice to other brides planning an October wedding is to keep it simple, letting the natural hues set the tone for the day. We loved the homemade caramels as guest favors that were hidden under a napkin at each table setting. The all-vinyl DJ was super awesome too, and Max said that it was the best music he’s heard yet at a wedding (and he’s just a little bit into music). Favorite things about the day? Brittiany said, “My favorite thing about my wedding was how much fun everyone seemed to be having. Everywhere I looked everyone was laughing, smiling, talking, and enjoying the ambiance of the evening. Made me really happy. And you know, that whole marriage thing, soulmate and so forth”. ;)
Congrats to these newlyweds… we wish you the best on all of your future adventures and can’t wait to see photos from your next annual National Park trip!
