We’ve been spending a lot of time at the Blue Bell Farm in Fayette lately. Aside from being a gorgeous, rustic outdoor wedding venue, Blue Bell is now hosting farm to table dinners, incorporating as many local growers and vendors into the day as possible. Starting with a tractor hayride, guests were treated to a tour of the historic farm property, including a visit to meet the free range turkey flock, who have the best view in the whole place! After arriving back at the barn, hot homemade apple cider and mulled wine was a welcome treat. Appetizers like sweet potato bruschetta with goat cheese, and green herb hummus with veggies were also available in the bar area!
While the band Two Bit Steve performed in the barn, the talented Jennifer Vetter Adams prepared an incredibly tasty dinner featuring Moroccan butternut squash soup, beef bourguignon with root vegetables and mashed garlic herb potatoes, and two kinds of autumn-inspired cakes for dessert! The barn has never smelled so good! Thanks to Pretty Little Things, a vintage wedding rental company, for creating such a warm and inviting space for the evening. Want to join for the next pop up dinner party? Mark your calendar for Saturday, Dec. 12th and you can purchase tickets via Brown Paper Tickets in advance!
